and why I coach.

Brock Nartker, baseball performance coach

I've been obsessed with pitching development since I was sixteen. Reading every emerging method, testing it on myself, learning the way the body actually creates force. That obsession built me into the pitcher I became, and it's what's kept me in the work for the last decade. Coaching pitchers, refining how mechanics, throwing, and performance training fit together, and chasing what actually works on the mound.

What I've learned, as a pitcher and as a coach, is that the work that transfers is the work built around one athlete and watched closely. Mechanics, throwing, performance training, mobility, and recovery on one plan, with one coach watching it every week. That's why BN Performance is built the way it is.

Most of what I bring comes from time on the ground. Over two years as an Assistant of Athletic Performance at a private facility in North Scottsdale, working with high-level pitchers in modern player development. Years as a pitcher who lived the work I now coach. And ten years of studying how this stuff actually fits together, instead of chasing whichever trend was loudest that year.
